collection of beige Mac software from the mid-90's

Software donated by a teacher dating to circa 1996. Includes boxed sets of  SuperPaint, Aldus Freehand, ClarisWorks, Norton Utilities, Adobe Photoshop, Symantec Suitcase, and Adoble TypeManager plus related books, manuals and floppy disks. I do not know any more about the software.

no charge for the items but I'd appreciate $40 USD for making the ad, boxing it all up and hauling it to the post office (at 77 this is not so easy). Weight is 20# so postage will be quite a bit extra - shipping is from Canada. Local pickup in Nelson BC is preferred and you can just take it away. A good deal for a collector of older Macs.

Rip.Mix.Burn. iMac G3 Dalmatian poster collection

Vintage original G3 iMac Dalmatian poster collection from the Apple "Rip Mix Burn" campaign, which caused a bit of controversy because the music industry thought that it promoted stealing music. However, the iTunes music store has since proven that wrong. All 3 are from the Think Different era, copyright 2001, Apple part number L13044A.

I bought them from a retired upstate New York Apple dealer several years ago and am just now offering them for sale as a set. They are all factory different: the left one is a very high quality plastic laminate on both sides, the right one is the standard light poster paper and the bottom one is unique in that the poster stock is quite heavy and it has a slightly pebbly matte finish on the front and the back is a kind of waxy gloss finish. Different for sure.

These Blue Dalmatian posters are very rare in the wild now, not even The Missing Bite or eBay has any currently. They measure 22" x 28" each and are all in near mint or new old stock condition and were never displayed except for this photo. Bear in mind they are 17 years old and have been handled a bit - one has a light smudge but there are no pin holes or tears and all will frame up nicely. The price is $330 US for the 3 poster collection and that includes insured mailing to Canada and USA in a heavy cardboard tube (out of North America adds $30 postage). I prefer to sell as a set. The companion Flower Power poster is also available - click the label below. To inquire contact Dave via kootenaymac.tel

1996 Boston MacWorld Expo Power Computing shirt

This is an awesome piece of Macintosh history - an original 1996 MacWorld Expo Boston shirt from Power Computing - during Apple Computer's brief experiment with mac clones and system software licensing prior to the reappearance of Steve Jobs and the iMac revolution. vintage 17" Apple LCD acrylic ADC monitor

In May 2001, Apple released a 17" Studio Display (Model No: M7649) with a native resolution of 1280x1024. The Apple Display Connector (ADC) is a proprietary modification of the DVI connector that combines analog and digital video signals, USB, and power all in one cable. The unit is in very good condition and features a single cord ADC plug that connects to the PowerMac ADC port. A swipe of the finger on the lower right corner powers up the tower and monitor. Photo shows monitor in use on a G4 Quicksilver tower in this photo from November 24, 2021.

Apple introduced it with the Dual Processor Mystic Power Mac G4 and new ADC monitors in July 2000, removing the industry standard DVI port previously found on the Sawtooth Power Mac G4. ADC remained a standard feature of Power Macs through the 2004 Power Mac G5; ADC was not present on the 2005 Power Mac G5, and Apple resumed use of the DVI connector alongside ADC with the Mirrored Drive Doors Power Mac G4 in August 2002.

Apple sponsored Yosemite Park poster signed by photographer Stephen Johnson

This is a Yosemite National Park poster signed by the award winning photographer Stephen Johnson. The poster gives large credit to sponsors Apple Computers and Adobe Systems and is autographed by the photographer as shown in the picture. This poster is from With a New Eye - The Digital National Parks Project and measures approx. 24" by 30". It is in good condition with no tears, holes, tape or creases.

Johnson's 1998 photo is shown at Parks Project Photographs. These brand new, limited edition authentic Apple Olympic enamel pins were designed by Apple Inc. to promote the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games. The pins were only available at the Vancouver Apple store and they were not available for sale anywhere. The white cardboard backed pin set includes two metal 19mm x 19mm (3/4" by 3/4") pins in original packaging: one is a Canadian maple leaf and the other is the Apple logo and both are designed as App icons. There is one single pin on an Olympic card. The pins not on white cardboard are iPod Nano style pins, also in original packaging and measure 17mm x 38mm (5/8" x 1-1/2"). The backs have ™2010 Apple, Inc. All shown have a butterfly clasp.

There are 26 unused unopened 2010 pins with a value of $25 each - total listed price  would be $650 but the quantity purchase of all the CDN pins shown would lower that to $425. All 26 are available as a set postage paid.

The bottom row on the right side shows a brand new authentic Apple iPad Olympic pin designed by Apple Inc. to promote the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games. These 3 pins were issued in the UK on 8 July, the first day of the London 2012 Olympics, and only in very limited numbers. They were hard to get then and are highly collectible now.

The design is of an iPad, with the Union Jack flag filling the entire screen. The enamel pin badge is on a presentation card in the factory sealed plastic envelope. The Apple logo and details are printed on the back of the card. It has a butterfly clasp and is new and unopened. The list price is $45.

For sale also in the UK set are two new individual pins not on cards: a black iPad and a white iPhone. They are priced at $25 each making the total listing price for the three 2012 British pins at $95 plus $5 postage or add them to the CDN set for $75.

Mounted Power Computing Sluggo Kick-Ass Kozik Poster MacWorld '96

This rare and controversial poster was designed by Frank Kozik, and features his 'Puggo' version of Sluggo from the Nancy comic. The original owner has this to say about the poster he got at the '96 Boston MacWorld: "It was released at Macworld '96 by PowerComputing, the most successful of the Apple Mac clone companies. Few of the posters were handed out, when one of the "SUITS" decided that they would no longer distribute them. They were removed from the booth and the show-floor locations where they were being handed out."

The stories surrounding this poster include real and threatened lawsuits by the Nancy comic distributor over copyright violations and by Intel for being it's trademark being slagged. The word "ass" was also a sore point at Power Computing. This poster has been professionally mounted on a 1/4" wood backing panel that is not removable. There is a damaged corner in the wood at the bottom left of the frame where it fell from it's wall mount. The poster has no damage except the wrinkle outside the black border (click the image to view) and could be professionally restored.

So while the t-shirt version (also available) circulated for a while, this poster quickly disappeared into private collections. Until now. Add it to your collection for $145 plus shipping at cost. To inquire contact Dave via kootenaymac.tel

Apple Store Gold iPhone 5S Performance Art Display Poster

This is a Gold Apple iPhone 5S light box poster titled Performance Art. It measures 3' by 5' and is an official Apple Store poster printed on good quality display plastic. It has damage near the edge on the left side; click the photo for larger image. It should still frame up very nicely as there is sufficient white space all around to accommodate a wide frame. It is priced at $140 and ships in a heavy cardboard tube at cost of postage. Very few of these light box posters were made. To inquire contact Dave via kootenaymac.tel
